Drywall Done!

Im still out of town helping my sister renovate her new house. It looks like the drywall is nearly complete. The photos are courtesy of Chris who stopped by the house last night. I have some small news in regards to the kitchen sink. I spoke with our SR and he trying to get us the sink. We will get an answer sometime today.

  1. Holy Cow guys! Things are moving along great! Awesome pics Chris!!! Owen, will you also been showcasing your talents from your sister's place? :-)

Seriously, things are looking good and now it will proceed at the speed of light! I remember when you guys mentioned an August settlement date (it seemed so far) and now we are already nearing the half-way mark of July! Geesh!

  2. Thanks. I was surprised to see all that work done as well. We'll see about my sister's place, I'm super exhausted, we have a tight timeline before they move in. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what comes next, is it the cabinets?

    1. Sorry Owen, I replied from my phone and as soon as I hit publish, it wiped it clean. Arrhhhh

Anywho, it's hard to tell what will be next unless you're out there everyday. From your pictures, they still have to add the skim coat to the walls and paint like crazy. They will paint before and after things get installed. For us, our cabinets were one of the first to be placed, followed by the counter tops, flooring, and then appliances. It also depends on when items arrive and if there were any delay in materials. The good thing is one item will not hold up progress since they have sooooo many other things to get done! After they skim coat the walls and start painting, sometimes we went out twice a week because it moved so fast. Our PM told us what was scheduled to happen every day during the weeks so we planned accordingly based on which was more exciting to see. We did not want to drive out everyday so we just picked the main items to document.
